In the Iranian ghost-town Bad City, a place that reeks of death and loneliness, the townspeople are unaware they are being stalked by a lonesome vampire
Let me start of by saying the music score kicks ass! I found myself constantly pausing this film to look up a song that was playing during a scene. The music that was picked for this film matched each scene perfectly. Hear a sample here.
I love vampire flicks and this was a welcome addition with its never been done before Iranian vampire western premise. You get the sense that you are watching something very important unfold in this never explored backdrop. The movie takes place in a wasteland almost appearing to be a ghost town. Arash is tragically beautiful as the son of a drug addicted father who because of constantly owes money to the towns drug dealer. The main character is a lonely Iranian girl who is apparently a vampire that kills in a vigilante type of way, she kills those whom she considers bad. Fate leads them together and they fall in love. A strange tale of love and redemption. If you’re spending this Friday in, this is the perfect chance to curl up on the couch to a good movie that is unexpectedly different in its approach to the vampire genre.
Audio in Persian w/ English subtitles.
