Is it possible to save enough change over the course of a year to use for an amazing 2016 Spring Break? With these tweaks in my strategy I am convinced that it is possible.
Basically I have been saving all of my change for a few weeks, at the end of every day I dump all off my change into my savings receptacle and I currently have a few pounds of change. Great Start. But I got the idea to add a couple of strategic moves to make the end result much more plentiful.
1. Use certain currency to maximize change. If I have a purchase of $1.87 for example, use a $5 bill and take the excess change and add it to savings. If I have a purchase of $4.66 for example, use a $10 bill and take the change and add it to savings and so forth, you get the idea.
2. Minimizing and Compromising with my vices. Instead of purchasing my usual Mocha Latte w/ an extra shot of expresso which comes out to over $5, I’m ordering a medium coffee which is $1.95. I’m putting those daily savings away. Next vice is purchasing lunch. No more lunch break specials during the week, it’s easy to spend $10 or more a day on lunch. It’s easy to save a minimum of $50 weekly just from from eliminating the purchase of meals while at work. Brown bag it!!
